Great question! Currently, there's no Sales Order feature in QuickBooks Online. You'd have to use an estimate by clicking the plus icon (+) and choosing Estimate. The good thing about this is that an the estimate is a non-posting transaction which can be turned into an invoice a later time.

What if i have already use the Estimate as my quotation to customer?
I will need to have a sales order function before invoicing.
My sales process is as follows:
Quotation to customer > Sales order> Invoicing

If you are using QBO, as the original poster was, there is no sales order in QBO
In this case is a Sales order comprable to an approved Estimate in QBO?
If I convert from Desktop to Online, will I need to re-enter all open Sales orders as Estimates?
