Has anyone figured out how to prevent additional GST tax from being added in Quickbooks when the invoice from Service Fusion is imported?

When the invoice is processed from Service Fusion into QBO, it adds a separate GST tax line which Quickbooks treats as an item line thus calculating additional GST on the GST item line.  How do I stop the GST from being added as a separate line item on the QBO invoice?

Hi daloise14,

Glad to have you connect with us here. QuickBooks is a program that's designed to help you manage your taxes. I'll be happy to share more info and help steer you in the right direction.

Based on the details you've shared above, I gather you're syncing the Service Fusion transactions into QuickBooks using a third-party app. If that's so, I recommend checking with the export options in Service Fusion to make sure there aren't settings that allow for the additional GST line to be added. I also suggest connecting with their support team for assistance or info with the way their app integrates with QuickBooks.

In the meantime, you can manually import your data into QuickBooks using the guidelines in this article: Import Data into QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if this info helps by leaving a comment below. I'll be one message away in case you have other questions.
