Welcome to Community! The new Dental Plan and associated codes have been updated in all QuickBooks products. You will need to edit all active employee profiles to reflect the associated code. Once you've completed this process, box 45 will be visible on the T4 slips.
Follow these steps to enter the codes;
1. Navigate to the Employee Centre
2. Select Employee then Edit
3. Open Payroll info
4. Use the ▼ dropdown menu next to Employer-offered dental benefits, then select the appropriate code
5. Hit OK to save.

I'm not seeing the "Dental Benefit" in the drop down menu

To ensure Box 45 appears on the T4 slips, all employees must enter a Dental Benefit code, including Code 1 for those without benefits. I'll explain it further below, LS.
First, it is essential to specify the code access you've taken. To set up access, here's the detailed steps below:
1. Navigate to the Employee Centre.
2. Select Employee and edit.
3. Navigate to payroll info.
4. Select the dropdown menu next to Employer-offered dental benefits, then select a code based on who is covered:
Code 1 - No benefits
Code 2 - Benefits to Payee
Code 3 - Benefits to Payee, spouse, and dependents
Code 4 - Benefits to Payee and their spouse
Code 5 - Benefits to Payee and their dependents
5. Select OK to save.
After setting up code access, check the employee's qualification through this link: Canadian Dental Care Plan—Canada.ca.
Lastly, once done you'll be good to go setting up health insurance items.
