It sounds like there might be some discrepancies in how GST transactions are recorded or categorized. Here are a few steps to help you identify and fix the issue:
- Review Transactions: Go to the Taxes menu on the left, then click Sales Tax at the top. Check the transactions included in your GST report to ensure they are correctly recorded.
- Check Categorization: Ensure that all GST-related transactions are categorized correctly. Sometimes, expenses or income might be categorized under different accounts, causing discrepancies.
- Reconcile Accounts: Make sure that your accounts are reconciled properly. Any unreconciled transactions can cause differences between reports.
- Run Detailed Reports: Run detailed GST reports and compare them with your balance sheet to identify any specific transactions that might be causing the discrepancy.
