My team is not receiving notifications of changes to their access on our QBO clients. Is anyone else having this trouble?

I have been in discussion with QBO support, but its been weeks and they still don't have a solution, or think the problem is on my end. It's not. Our IT is top notch and wasted quite a bit of time on verifying our systems.

Thanks for reaching out to Community.  QuickBooks Online Accountant automatically sends your team members an email notification regarding their access, whether they've been added, edited or removed.  I'd be happy to assist!

 

If you've already taken the opportunity to clear cache on your browser and perform all other troubleshooting, I recommend checking the work settings, here's how:

 

1. From the Gear ⚙ go to Company Settings

2. Select Notifications

3. Click the Edit ✎ and turn the notifications on

4. Redo the Client Access for the Team member

Note:  If they still don't receive the email, advise them to also check their spam/junk folder.

As mentioned, I have already been in touch with QBO support, but the issue has not yet been resolved.  I have a case open on it, but action is slow and QBO is so quick to keep telling me that the problem is on my end.  Hence why I am asking other accountants if they have come across this.

update:  I figured out that if I change the team members access by editing the team member, the access notification goes out.  If I edit the client (not the team member) the access notification does not go out.
