fintrac causing direct deposit issue

Thank you for letting us know about the direct deposit issue, and I appreciate the details you’ve shared regarding FINTRAC, @karen-bill. This situation could be related to FINTRAC compliance requirements, which ensure that all transactions meet Canadian regulations.

Let’s take a closer look and resolve this by checking the Payroll Overview tab. I recommend verifying if there are any prompts or notifications asking for additional documents. FINTRAC regulations may require you to submit specific information, such as proof of identity, proof of ownership, or business registration details, to ensure your account is fully compliant.

To upload your documents, simply follow any prompts in the Payroll Overview tab or check for a banner at the top of your QuickBooks Online screen. In case you've already submitted the necessary documents, please note that the verification process typically takes 2-3 business days for new customers and 7-10 business days for existing customers.

In the meantime, while resolving this, you can still process payroll payments using paper cheques. I’m including this article as a reference to help you learn more about FINTRAC: What you need to know about FINTRAC.

If your documents have been verified but you’re still encountering issues, this could be due to a configuration problem. In that case, I recommend reaching out to our Live Support for payroll directly so we can review and resolve the matter promptly, allowing you to run direct deposit payroll successfully.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
