How do I enter employee hours?

Hi there SaddleRock,

 

Making sure that you enter the hours your employees work correctly is important so that their pay is correct. QuickBooks Online Payroll is a great tool that's able to pay your employees either a fixed salary or an hourly wage to better suit your business needs. I can point you in the right direction.

 

When running your payroll, you can enter the total hours worked by an employee for the pay period. If you have a QuickBooks Online Essentials or Plus plan, you also have the option to create Single time activities as well as Weekly timesheets for employees. to do so, navigate to the +New  button, then select either one of the options you want to enter their time. Single time activity is meant to be for the time entered in single entries, whereas Weekly timesheets allow you to enter it a week at a time.

Hi there paulkh,

 

It's vital that all your transactions are entered correctly so that your books can be well balanced. QuickBooks Online has a multitude of different transaction types so that you can represent many types of money movement in your books. I can point you in the right direction to create transactions. 

 

While on the Dashboard in QuickBooks Online, in the top left corner, you should see a +New button, which has all the different transaction types that can be added.
