Let’s first modify your display and view preferences within your QuickBooks Desktop program, Dgwen.
If you have a newer high-resolution monitor, let’s adjust the default display settings in QuickBooks. To do this:
- Close the QBDT program. Then, open the Windows Start menu and enter QuickBooks into the search bar.
- From there, right-click the QuickBooks icon and select Open file location.
- In the folder, right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and choose Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab and select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings checkbox. You can also choose Change high DPI settings and then select Override high DPI scaling behavior.
- Once done, click Apply and OK.
On top of that, let’s adjust your view preferences in the program:
- In your QBDT account, go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- Choose Desktop View from the list and click on the My Preferences tab.
- In the View section, select the One Window option. Then, OK.
If the issue persists, follow Step 3 outlined in this article to change your Windows DPI settings: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop. Once you've made the adjustments, please ensure to close and reopen your company file to fully apply the changes.
