Does anyone know if there is a way to allow both users of a company in QB Online to send invoices from their respective email addresses?
I have a client business that is a partnership. Each partner runs their own division and bills out separately. Currently, all invoices get sent and replied to by the primary partner A (the one who originally started the business). Every time the partner from Division B sends an estimate for approval to a customer in his division, the reply from the customer goes to Partner A in Division A (unless they see the notes where partner b asks them to reply to). This creates a lot of confusion and issues in timely communications with clients. I've suggested a temporary workaround where they create a generic email address to use instead and they both access it, but again, this isn't ideal.
Hello crystalst,
I appreciate you taking the time to go over what you're looking for with emailing from QucikBooks Online. It sounds like you're using the option of connecting a Gmail address so when you send forms the program uses that instead of the default program email. This is a great way to open up that line of communication with your customer while ensuring they receive their transaction from you, and I can go into further detail about what's available with it.
As you may know, by default, the program uses a QuickBooks branded email to send forms out through the program, which is quickbooks@notification.intuit.com. One of the ways we've enhanced the program to offer a more customized email experience is with the option to set up a Gmail address in QuickBooks to email forms from. With this option, not only will your customers be able to more readily recognize that the email is coming from you, they'll also be able to reply to it, which isn't an option with the default email used by QuickBooks Online.
The program currently gives you the opportunity to set up one Gmail address as outlined in our article Use your Gmail address to send invoices. Because of that, I recommend the generic email workaround that you've suggested. I know it's not ideal, but in this case, it'll get the job done and make sure the partners are able to work with their customer information as needed if the customer misses the message on the form to send it to a specific email.
I also encourage you to submit feedback about this feature by using the steps outlined here: How do I submit feedback? This helps us learn the ways that users would like to see QuickBooks grow and further simplify your workflow.
You can also consider third-party invoicing options that connect with QuickBooks Online. The Apps tab offers an assortment of different connection options to other services, and through searching you may be able to find an option that meets your needs.
I hope this has helped. I'll be around if you have further questions.

Consider having an additional app to integrate with your QBO.
