I am trying to import trips/mileage from Google Maps in QB Self-Employed but I am getting this error for past couple weeks. I have followed all steps exactly that are mentioned.
Hello there, saadsiddique.
Let's try to import it using a private browser. You can follow these shortcuts to open private browser:
If it works, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. Too much cache results to some browser error. Also, try to import it using another browser like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox.
You can also check this article with very detailed steps on how to import trips from Google.
Reply to this thread if you have other concerns.
I've tried three different browsers, in Private/Incognito mode. No use. This is more like backend error instead of browser/cache issue :-)
There's no ongoing investigation about importing trips from Google Maps, saadsiddique.
As a workaround, you'll want to manually add trips. You can follow these steps on how to add trip:
To see your travel details, go to Google Maps and log in to your Google account you used on your mobile device. Then, go to Menu and select Timeline.
Please let me know if you have other concerns.
This is what I am talking about: https://www.loom.com/share/0439e0b6f3214cbaaee9a0a1b9c56673
And there are over 150 of trips. Adding them manually is not an option.
Hi there,
I know how time-consuming it is to manually enter over 150 trips. I encourage you to contact the QuickBooks Self-Employed team using this link. One of our agents will be happy to look into this issue and assist you further. Feel free to ask questions. :)
did you ever figure it out. having same issue
Same thing is happening to me. 3+ hours of work and no results. Quickbooks? This is highly frustrating.
They told me today they are working on the fix but no timeline. They said the only option was is manual entry.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I cannot put these in individually

!
This has been the same problem for at least the last 3 yrs I have tried! Never works. Their app misses trips. Really should have been fixed long ago.
Hi Kimberlye727,
Thanks for sticking with us for 3years! I know how important it is to keep your books accurate, and I can see how having missing trips in your app isn't the outcome you'd expect. While we're working on a permanent fix for this issue, I'd encourage you to add your trips manually using the steps shared above on this thread. Feel free to also share your thoughts with our QuickBooks Self-Employed product development team. You can do so by going to the Assistant menu, typing and entering "feedback", then following the prompts to send your comments directly to our engineers.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help!
Still not working. SMH
This is pretty ridiculous to ignore an issue like this .... as of 2021 April... it still does not work
Hello Grefcon901,
I hear what you're saying and see how an older thread like this with several people commenting can make it seem like a problem is being ignored. I want to assure you at QuickBooks that each issue that arises in the program is important for us to solve as we know how users can benefit from these options. Sometimes these issues aren't on-going, but rather occur from time-to-time. Whatever the case, we make sure to address them.
Since you're seeing the issue with importing Google Maps data into QuickBooks Self-Employed as well, I recommend reaching out to QuickBooks Self-Employed support. For Canada, you can do so by using the following steps.
I did notice as well that you've also commented about this issue in our US community forum, so if you're using the US version of QuickBooks Self-Employed, please refer there for contact details or additional assistance. To get back there, scroll to the top of the page, choose the flag icon, and then the US one from the list that populates.
Our teams are here to help however they can.

Does Not Work!
Hi wjmcspirit. Glad to have you reach out to us here. I'll be happy to assist so you can get back to doing what you love. To make sure I'm on the same page as you, could you elaborate more about what you're looking to accomplish using the program?
You can't import Google timeline into quickbooks self employed. Have tried numerous times for months. The step by step instructions always get the same end result, "NO TRIPS CAN BE FOUND". I drive about 50 miles everyday and the timeline clearly shows that. There are many stories on the web sharing the same problem that I have. The import does not work, period! I do not have the time to manually import 6 months of trips into the program.
I had the same problem last year. I cancelled my subscription this year and was reconsidering opening it again with the hope that this feature was working. Is good to know that is still broken (I really don't know if it ever worked).
Thanks for the post. Quickbooks, please let me know when you fix the problem and I will renew my subscription.
I see what you're saying. At this point, I highly recommend contacting our Self-Employed support team so they can take a deeper look into this issue and help get you back on track. So weird that this is happening till now, after 2 years. Any way, I was able to solve the issue, by sheer luck! You'll have to create a new zip from Google as per the instructions but select everything instead of limited timeline. When importing in to mileage record, do not filter any results and try and import everything. I've repeated this few times until one time it just imported everything.
