Since yesterday (June 12, 2023) we get the error "QB could not save the updates exchange rates. Verify that your system time ...". See attached screenshot. We get this on all our PC's. System times are correct.

You are not alone.  We have the same problem, starting yesterday.

I am the IT support for our company, but not listed as a contact able to contact support. [Our root contact is away on vacation]

I noted in the logs the API call to update the exchange rates, and was able to isolate it to an error "Missing Password" being returned by wallst.com

For example, this URL returns the error:

http://www.quickbooks.wallst.com/api/currency.asp?User_ID=CurrencyUser&User_Tier=API&User_TimeStamp=...

This URL (with User_ID) removed, works. But this isn't how QuickBooks calls the API

http://www.quickbooks.wallst.com/api/currency.asp?User_Tier=API&User_TimeStamp=20230613125313&baseCu...

If someone is able to provide this info to Support, this can likely be fixed sooner than later.

Hi RomanK and EchoSeismic,

I appreciate you reaching out here.  QuickBooks will automatically install updates as they become available, so you can focus on what matters most.  If you haven't done so already, I recommend using the QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix company files.

Should you experience the same outcome, please contact us outside of Community.  Our Customer Care team will have the ability to work with you in real-time and ensure your able to accomplish your QuickBooks goals without delay!

Please don't hesitate to reach back out if you have other questions.  We'd be happy to help!

exchange rates update fails

As per my notes, this won't "fix itself" by updating, or "fix company files".  This is an API issue on the WEB, and not related to the install.  I agree, this needs to be addressed by the Customer Care Team...

I believe the Quickbooks Ai Customer Service bot didn't read your full message...

It appears Intuit has fixed the issue now, and it should now work again.  They sent me a ticket completed, and I confirm it is working now.
