Hi davidprovostbill. Sometimes it's necessary to change the language in the app and I'll be happy to share more info on this. QuickBooks Self-Employed is a powerful app which allows you to manage your business on the go. That being said, it's important to note that the app is available in English at this time. I know how useful it would be to able to change the language and I recommend leaving this as feedback to our engineers using this link here.
For more language options, I recommend checking out QuickBooks Online instead. With QuickBooks Online, you're guaranteed more language options and other advanced features. You can learn more about this using this link here. Just in case you're looking at changing the language to French to suit the area you do business in, it's vital to note that QuickBooks Self-Employed doesn't support Quebec Sales Tax yet. There are three types of sales tax supported in QuickBooks Self-Employed to add to your invoices: Goods and Services Tax (GST), Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), and Provincial sales taxes (PST), based on the province you select when setting up sales tax in Your work info. The GST/HST/PST portion of sales/income are submitted to the CRA. I encourage you to learn more here.
