Hi top-knot-tbay-gm,
It's great to hear that you're taking advantage of the bank feeds in QuickBooks Online to stay organized and up-to-date with all of your real-life transactions. I know how essential it is to stay on top of things, and the frequency by which your transactions are imported is a good fact to know. I'd be happy to shed some light on this.
In regards to your online bank transactions, these uploads occur each evening. The exact time may vary, however this is certainly a daily update that will happen to make sure you're seeing an accurate picture of your bank info.
If you'd like to see more frequent updates in the bank feed, click the Update button on the upper right side of the page at any time. This will trigger a manual update, pulling in your information from online banking.
If you're using Etsy with QuickBooks Online, you must be synced using one of our various third-party integrated apps. The frequency for these updates will depend on that application and it's processes, so I'd encourage you to reach out to the app's developer to find out more information on that.
If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our tech support team. We're always happy to help.
Cheers.
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm confused re Etsy though. Etsy claims Quickbooks is "Official Etsy partner, Accounting" and I was able to import 7 days worth of transactions the other day when I set up my QB account. Are you telling me that was a one-time deal and I now need to use something like Zapier to continue to import? Seems strange.

I see what you're saying. In that case, I'd recommend reaching out to our tech support team so an agent can confirm how the account has been previously linked. Only official financial institutions and banks will be able to sync directly to the bank feeds in QBO, so there's likely a third-party "middle-man" if you will that allows you to connect your Etsy account. An agent can share your screen and provide further direction based on how you've set things up thus far.
