I'm trying to upload old transactions, i’ve exported them as .csv. When I upload the file, i’m getting the error saying there was an error uploading the file at a certain line and to correct and try again but they all look normal to me?

Try opening your account on private/incognito browser and redo the process. As another option, utilize the trial license of this converter app to isolate the issue.

Hey there ingridjacobsonrp,

Categorizing and keeping track of your income and expenses has been made simple with QuickBooks Self-Employed. The Transactions menu allows you to connect directly to your bank accounts so that your transactions automatically pull through to your books. I know that it may be necessary to pull older transactions, so I appreciate that you've been attempting to do so. Let me give you a hand with this so you can complete the task successfully.

As @Fiat Lux - ASIA suggested, some browser troubleshooting such as opening QuickBooks Self-Employed from a private browsing window on your computer is a great first step to take. I'm including some browser and internet troubleshooting steps you can take below. Please give them a shot and try uploading your .CSV file again.

It's also important to ensure that you're following all of the correct steps in this process. Check out our article on how to Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed to double-check that you've done everything correctly. It's also worthwhile to note that you can manually add the transactions that won't import - however I know this option isn't feasible for those with a large number of transactions.

The last step to getting this resolved is to reach out to our team of QuickBooks Self-Employed Support experts. You can use the steps outlined in the article I linked, or simply navigate to the Assistant and type and enter "Talk to human" to get connected with a support agent when it's most convenient for you.

I'm confident you'll have this issue resolved in no time. Enjoy the week ahead!
