You can register your transactions manually. Another option, prepare your Invoice data in CSV and import them

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-ca/import-or-export-data-files/import-multiple-invoic...

If you already have prepared data in XLS in various transaction types (e.g Invoice, Bill, Sales Receipt), you should utilize an importer tool

Hi again, entering the transactions is not the problem.

What I'm wanting to know is how to start a separate file/fiscal year for 2021?

Hello Brandner. To make sure I'm on the same page as you, are the 2021 transactions already in QuickBooks?

Hi everyone,

I do have the same problem. I¨m behind. I need to use Quickbooks to do my taxes report for the last year. All my sales transaction are on Square, and my expense are in an Excell file.

Could you tell if it is possible, or I have to get helps from an accountant?

Thanks

@Bisonn

You can prepare your sales and expense transactions in XLS format and use the importer tool as I mentioned earlier.

Hi Bisonn,

In addition to the valuable information provided, here's a helpful guide for importing your expenses in QuickBooks Online.  I also would like to mention, that you'll want to ensure the books haven't been closed for 2021.  If they've been closed, it's best to speak with an accounting professional before proceeding, to ensure a positive outcome on other areas of your books.  If you don't have an accountant, we can help you locate a ProAdvisor in your local area.

Please don't hesitate to reach back out with other questions.  We're always happy to help!
