It's important that you're able to create a record of employment in QuickBooks Online Payroll seamlessly. As mentioned by Accracy Accounting, when you change the employee status, you will be prompted to enter the last day the employee received insurable earnings. To avoid error, this should be aligned with the last day of work and not the last pay date. Click here to view block-by-block instructions, as noted on the CRA website.
