Hi canyesee,
Thanks for reaching out and I can clarify why you're not seeing those options.
The Estimates by Customer report simply shows a list of estimates for a certain customer. The reason it doesn't show the product/service, description, or quantity fields is because there could be more than one product on each estimate. If you'd like to see the estimate in more detail, it's possible to open it right from the report to view the items. All you have to do is click the text in the columns, such as the estimate number column.
For your reference, here are a couple of links about estimates and customizing reports.
Don't hesitate if you have more questions!
Hi Ana
Hi thanks for the reply we know this about clicking on the estimate. But we cannot do this for 75-100 estimates we have open at one time it is more work and more time . Quick books has a sales report with product service, Description, and quantity fields why not an estimate report with these values.
We have 75 -100 estimates (Sales orders) as we have inventory of product.
Thank Mike
Hi there,
I appreciate your feedback about this. I know how time-consuming the process can be and I recommend leaving feedback for our engineers. You can do this by clicking the gear icon and looking for Feedback. New product ideas and improvements are largely based on the feedback we get from users like. Let me know if you have questions. I'm here to help.
This is a needed feature! We use estimates as a sales backlog and project income by product line for a period. Even though we could use POs, not everything goes into that system except for actual POs. Recurring maintenance items and such are set up as future estimates we quickly convert to invoices when they come up. It is so tedious to drill down into each estimate and get that data. A simple function that could be easily implemented.
Hi cpaquin,
Being able to use your QuickBooks Online account to track all financial information is important to any business. I'd be happy to explain how to get this added.
As my colleague stated the best way to have this added in future updates would be to send feedback to our developers. You can do this in product by following these steps.
Hope this helps.
We need this SAME thing. Did you find a way for it to work?
Agreed - we need this too!! We need a way to see inventory we need to cover ESTIMATES. Quickbooks - we have been asking the engineers for 15 years. Can you PLEASE step in and get us help for this?
Hi there @daxd and thanks for joining in on this thread to share your thoughts about expanded functionality for our Estimates by Customer report. We hear you and know that this would make doing your books that much easier. I hope you'll consider submitting feedback as outlined above by @Nick K. That's the best way to have your voice heard by the right team. I'll be sure to pass this along on my end again as well. Take care and don't hesitate to reach out again if you need a hand with anything QuickBooks related.
I have the same issue. It has been almost 3 years since the first comment about this issue and UNTIL NOW no modifications happened on Quick books :(
