This does not solve the issue. The GST line is showing up in the body of the invoice as an additional line item. There does not seem to be any way in the Additional Customization to remove this. Is there somewhere else in QuickBooks that I need to toggle or untoggle something?
Hi there Blackrete,
It sounds like you're seeing an extra block for the GST when you view the invoice after inputting the data. It's important that you can customize and format your invoices to your liking so that they fit with your business' aesthetic. Let me explain how you can switch this off.
While working on the invoice, please follow these steps:
Now the GST won't display as an additional line item on your invoices when printed. I'm confident that these steps will have things sorted out in no time, but if not you can always Contact Us for additional help from our support team in real-time. I'll also be here in case you have further questions. Have a great night!
This is not the answer we are looking for. We want the sales tax to appear in the footer. We DON'T want the sales tax to appear in the body of the invoice with the other items.
Hello northerngirl. Glad to hear from you again. I can see the benefit of having the sales tax appear in the footer of your invoice. Since this customization option isn't available, I encourage you to send feedback about this to our engineers. You can do this by clicking the Help menu and looking for Send Feedback Online. In the meantime, feel free to as other questions, I'm here to help you achieve your QuickBooks goals.
They are asking for a very simple question. In the body, it has these words that just do not make any sense of being there. How do you remove it? See the attached...
The answers given to this question so far are not great. I haven't found a solution either, but what I have found that helps is to add subtotal item after all of the billable lines so that you at least get a total before tax. Hope that helps a bit.
What worked for me: In Additional Customization, uncheck both Sales Tax Total and Sales Tax Summary, and check Condensed Sales Tax Summary. Modify your invoice in Layout Designer, and use this new Data Field in the in place of the default.
I, too, would get the words "sales tax" tp show up on my printed pages. Go to: additional customizaton, footer, check sales tax, go to layout designer. Now you can see what is printing in the body. Go to fonts and change the color to white, now you will not see it when you print.....this worked for me.
