How do I apply discounts to each line item in an estimate? Some of our products have different %discounts. Right now I have to send multiple estimates.

Thanks for taking the time to post in the Community. I'll be glad to share more info about discounts and how they're applied on estimates.

At this time, the discount field ony applies to the total amount of the invoice. I'll attach an image below which shows the discount column I'm referring to: 

If you're not seeng the Discount field on your end, you can turn it on by following the steps below: 

1.     Click the Gear icon.
2.     Select Account and Settings.
3.     Click Sales tab.
4.     Click the pencil icon under Sales form content.
5.     Put a mark into the box next to Discount.
6.     Click Save and Done.                             

You'd have to manually calculate the discount for each line item because the discount field only applies to the total amount of the estimate. I know how important this issue is to you and I encourage you to send feedback to our engineers by clicking the Gear icon and looking for Feedback. New product ideas and improvements are largely based on the feedback we get from customers like you.

Here is an example of how Quickbooks achieves the discount to individual line items. However, this does not seem to be available in Canada. It seem like a fairly straightforward way to handle things that many Quickbooks clients would appreciate.
