How do you remove the page number from the invoice footer. Invoices are one page so numbering it looks rediculous

Being able to customize your invoice is an option which QB Online provides. I'll be happy to answer you question so you can back to doing what you enjoy. 

QB Online has different invoice templates which you can choose from. So far, the Airy new template is the only one which offers the page number in the footer. In order to get rid of the page number, I recommend changing your template. 

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon.
2. Under Your Company, click Custom Form Styles.
3. To create a new template, click the New style button in the upper right-hand corner.
4. Select Invoice.
5. Go to the Design tab to edit the template name, logo, color, font, and margins.
6. You can also go to the Content tab to customize the header, body, and footer of the invoice template.
7. Click Done when finished.

I have done all customizations available but there is no option for removing the page number

Hi there. I want to make sure we're on the same page. Which default template are you using? 

Airy new invoice template.  Most of my invoices are only one page so it seems silly to have a page 1 of 1 on it.

The Airy new will show page numbers. You can always change the template by following the steps above. Have you tried that yet? Let me know if you need help. I'll be one message away. 

Unfortunately this does not work. I have the page number in the footer and there is no option to remove it.

The way you have described it, doesn't work either. Please recommend another way. 

Thanks for trying that. I want to make sure I'm on the same page as you. Which template are you using? 

I realize this is an old post but it wasn't answered sufficiently for the poster, @maryto.

When editing or creating a new custom form, you have to select a different template DESIGN option other than 'Airy new,' found under 'Design,' in order to avoid having the "Page _ of _" appear on the footer.  Select some of the other Design options where there is no footer.  I prefer using "Fresh" which does not have a page number footer built in. There are also some other invoice design options to choose from (Modern, Bold, etc.).  Hope this helps! 

What a pain that is!  I'm a new user - just finished setting up invoice using the Airey one - and been trying for ages to find how to remove the "Page 1 of 1" - finally came here, did a search and read this.

I cannot believe that users are forced to have "Page 1 of 1" on a one-page invoice.

It should be made clear on the page where you can create an invoice.

Thanks for joining us here.  As mentioned above, you can change your current template, to remove the  numbering in the footer section of your invoice.  If you're using Airy New, I suggest selecting Airy Classic, by following these steps;

1. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Custom Form Styles

2. Click Edit for your invoice template

3. Select the Design tab and click on Airy Classic

Note; The footer doesn't show page numbers, however you can add a note in the Payment Details and Footer section, by opening the Content tab, then hit the Edit  in the footer section.

Yes, I know - thank you - it's still a pain!

I have now changed it to Classic but there is a lonesome black line above the coloured line.  The black line looks totally out of place.

At this rate, may cancel my subscription and go to Xero where editing invoices to suit is far more flexible.

So I assume there is no way to remove the lonesome black line about the coloured row in the Classic template?  I am trying to remove it as it looks totally out of place..
