How do I get a report that shows me my Quarterly GST spent from my purchased expenses? I need this each quarter to submit to my real estate brokerage. Thanks! Karen
Hello KAMGS,
You can use the Profit and Loss report and filter the date to see the quarterly expense.
Here's how to do it:

I tried this recommendation but this report did not show how much is the GST. It just shows the amount of expenses. Is there a report that can be generated that shows the GST amount?

Hi RealEstate101,
Having your GST balances being shown at a glance is a great idea! I would be happy to help go over this with you.
In QuickBooks Self employed you can run a few different reports so you can get the information you need for your company. In order to get your GST total from expenses you can go to: Reports>Tax Summary and scroll to the bottom where your ITC's are located. This will show you the GST amount from expenses for the year. You can also download the Tax detail report for the year and it will break down each expense. If you wish to see this information for the quarter instead of the year you would need to do that manually.
If this is a feature you need there are two ways to go about it. first is to submit feedback to our development team to let them know you wish to have this added in future updates by following these steps:
Once our development team gets the feedback they will look into ways to add this feature into future updates. Another way is upgrading to QuickBooks Online which does have this feature included in it. You can upgrade to QuickBooks Online and keep all your information from your self employed account by following the steps in this article. Once you upgrade you just need to go to Reports>Sales Tax>GST/HST Detail Report and make sure the date range is set to quarterly.
If you have any further questions don't hesitate to reach out and we would be happy to help!
