This is the first year this has happened. Although I have set up my accounts with Tax lines they are not recognised by Turbotax. Says they are not linked.
No what used to be a simple process requires manual entry.
Can anyone help or is this a bug in Turbotax?
Thank you.

Thanks James for your help. I decided to manually copy my business expenses into Turbo Tax as the half hour that took me was probably quicker than fixing or finding a solution to the problem.
I tried the turbo tax support team. They said that I need to contact quickbooks support. Full circle.
Hello MightyZual. Just to clarify, are you having issues within QuickBooks or this is happening in Turbotax? Also, feel free to elaborate more about exactly what you're experiencing. I'll be on standby.
I'm doing the tax prep fr my return using turbo tax desktop.
It says I can import my info from quickbooks but when I try, it says that it does not see a quickbooks desktop file installed on my pc. There is a quickbooks file but turbotax does not see it. When I spoke with turbotax support, they said that i need to reach out to quickbooks support
I see what you're saying. In order to troubleshoot this issue on QuickBooks' end, I recommend using the File doctor to fix any company file issues that may be affecting the connection to Turbotax. Here's a helpful article that shows you how to: Fix company issues in QuickBooks. I recommend and let me know what happens after. I'll be on standby.
I have used Turbo tax and quick books for years and never had problems Importing my quickbooks data into Turbo tax. Yet this year it won't work on either company.
Hi there. I'd like to learn more about the issue you're experiencing so I can steer you in the right direction. Could you elaborate more about what happens when you try to import?
Turbo Tax looks for maybe one second then says no quickbooks desktop files can be found. I have multiple companies with back up copies on both my desktop and external harddrive that is plugged in. It hardly looks! Previous years, at least I had the option to search for it. this year, there are zero options if it cant be found
This is my problem exactly. Apparently, its an issue for many of us...
Thanks for sharing more details. Have you been in touch with the Turbotax support team for further assistance with this issue?
yes they say to contact you. I ran qb tool hub, both fix my file and file doctor. it had no errors and found nothing wrong

You have QB Desktop 2021, correct? Install any trial version of QB Desktop 2022-2024 on your machine. You don't need to reboot your machine or run the trial version.
This tip did help, but still wanted me to open the company file once before it would import correctly.
Thanks for the heads up on this. Intuit support had nothing on it.
Intuit product quality going down the tube.
This workaround worked for me as of March 4, 2024.
I installed QuickBooksEnterprise24Trial.exe.
I rebooted after install.
I started TurboTax and it found my Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2021 file immediately.
You do not need to open or upgrade to QB Enterprise after reboot.
