The refreshed QuickBooks experience is becoming the default for you and your clients.

Since the launch of the new QuickBooks experience on the Intuit Platform, firms have been exploring a more efficient, AI-powered way of working. To ensure all users benefit from the full power of our latest innovations, the refreshed interface will become the default and the option to switch back to the classic view will be removed for all accounts starting the first week of May.

This is more than just a layout change; it is the foundation of a modern environment that combines customizable tools with groundbreaking Intuit AI. By standardizing the experience across the platform, we are streamlining your workflow and ensuring your firm is always working with the most advanced tools available.

Important details regarding the final transition

To help you prepare for the removal of the interface opt-out toggle, here is what you need to know:

  • Default Experience: Starting the first week of May, the option to switch back to the "classic" view will be removed. All clients within your firm will be on the refreshed QuickBooks interface moving forward.
  • A Unified Workflow: Having all clients on the same interface ensures a consistent experience for your team, making training and collaboration easier across your entire book of business.
  • Direct Client Notification: We will notify your clients directly as the opt-out removal date approaches, so they are aware that the refreshed experience is now the permanent standard.
  • Availability: This transition to the permanent interface applies to all existing plans, with the exception of QuickBooks Ledger.

Can I still switch my clients between the refreshed and classic QuickBooks interfaces?

You can continue to use the toggle to switch views until the first week of May. After that time, the option to opt out will no longer be available, and the refreshed experience will be the interface for all clients.

Why is the opt-out option being removed?

Standardizing on the new Intuit Platform allows us to deliver a faster, more secure experience. It ensures that every user has access to the latest feature releases and AI enhancements without the friction of managing multiple versions.

Will Intuit AI still be available if I haven't switched yet?

While some AI features are visible in the classic interface, the new experience is specifically designed to host the full power of Intuit Assist. To get the most out of these tools, we recommend using the refreshed interface exclusively leading up to the May transition.

  • A Unified Experience: To ensure a consistent workflow across your firm, all client accounts will be updated to the refreshed interface at the same time during the first week of May.
  • Comprehensive Coverage: The refreshed QuickBooks experience is the standard for all plans. (QuickBooks Ledger remains the only exception at this time.)
