Hello,
Before we publish your profile on the Find-a-ProAdvisor website, we'll verify your eligibility and confirm your profile information. To confirm your identity, you must upload a copy of a government-issued ID, such as a driver's license or a copy of your passport. It's not always necessary to upload two pieces of identification. I'd be happy to help explain what may be causing delays in your profile.
If you've been asked to submit a second copy of your identification, this usually means we weren't able to use the ID you submitted to confirm your profile.
This is generally for one of the following reasons:
To resolve this issue, re-submit a digital scan (or a photo taken with your phone) of one of the following:
To avoid being asked to resubmit your ID again, keep these tips in mind:
I recommend reviewing these articles if you're having trouble verifying your ProAdvisor profile:

I hope this helps. If you're in need of any further assistance, please contact our tech support team.
Cheers.

Normally, when you upload the required info, our department automatically starts to process your application. Just to make sure everything is okay I recommend contacting our support team to double-check. You can use this link here for the contact details.
Why do you need photo ID to add me to the website? Can you please provide a copy of the security protocols in effect so that we can review what you are doing with our PII?
Hello JLW10,
The security of your information is of the utmost importance to us, and we always have measures in place to protect it. I appreciate wanting to know more about that, especially in situations where we ask for identifiers like photo ID, and I'd be happy to shed more light on why we ask for this when you're getting set up as a ProAdvisor for QuickBooks.
The ProAdvisor service is intended to help customers connect with accountants that can help them with their books and help those accountants connect with more clients. It's vital that the information shared on our ProAdvisor listings is accurate, and part of how we ensure this is by verifying the information you provided us against your photo ID. Our system hangs onto this information for 14 days during this process, and it's then deleted.
While it's in our system, your photo ID is encrypted on our servers, which have layers of protection like antivirus software and more. This is highlighted in our Learn about ProAdvisor profile and Find-a-ProAdvisor guidelines article if you'd like to read more about this process.
Should you have other concerns that you'd like to address or you'd like to learn more about Intuit's security measures, I recommend the following links.
I hope this helps to set you mind at ease. Don't hesitate to use the Intuit Security Centre link to get in touch with that team if you'd like a more in-depth discussion. Take care!
Why the emphasis on a photo ID? What exactly are you comparing this to? Why exactly do you need to substantiate facial details? Is there a reason why you won't accept a CPA license?
Government-issued photo IDs are a common verification tool for many services, and Intuit also uses them for verification processes in many areas of working with the program to ensure the identity of the person uploading the documents. A CPA license is not a federally recognized piece of ID for verification purposes, which is why it isn't an option. If you don't want to submit a federally recognized piece of photo ID, the other option would be to get a notary to sign an affidavit of identification. Without either the government-issued photo ID or the affidavit, the profile posting will continue to be declined. I hope that helps clarify things.

If you accept the driver's license (which issued by the State, not by the Federal government), why not the CPA license (which is also issued by the State and not the Federal government)? Does it have to be Federal ID or not?
I see what you're saying and can look into getting some further clarification on this. However, I'd just like to highlight that I see you've mentioned items being issued by the state. It sounds like you're working with QuickBooks US products, and if that's the case, I recommend posing this question to the US QuickBooks Team to ensure that you have the proper information based on the US product's requirements. These sometimes differ between products, so please don't hesitate to reach out there instead.
Hello again, JLW10.
I've gotten clarification about the IDs that are accepted for the ProAdvisor verification purposes for Canada. While what I said previously suggested they needed to be federally provided IDs, what I should have said was that they need to be federally recognized IDs for verification purposes. That's my error, and I have corrected my message above to reflect that.
You may have already gone over to the US Community forum or spoken with US support at this point, but I wanted to give an update here as well just in case.
Wishing you the best.
