Welcome to Community! QuickBooks Online Payroll enables you to 'back date' an employee pay cheque, when situations arise. I would be glad to assist!
Creating a pay cheque with a past date, can be accomplished as long as it’s not direct deposit, and it's not after the tax period due date to pay or file forms for that period.
Here's how;
1. Open Payroll, then Employees
2. Select Run payroll
3. Change the Pay date and Pay period
4. Select your employee and then add their salary or hours worked
5. Pay method should be Paper cheque
6. Preview and submit payroll.
