If you're subscribed to payroll, you'll also need to download the latest payroll tax table. In addition, you can set up automatic updates so that QuickBooks downloads them automatically as soon as they're available.

I do have automatic updates on. However my question was do i need to download quick books desktop 2024 in order to get the latest payroll tax tables.

If you've downloaded the payroll tax table update on June 18th or later, the updated amounts will be effective on July1st. Updating your QuickBooks company file, is also recommended, to ensure accuracy in other areas of your books.

I have automatic updates on as well but did not even get updated to QB 2024 let alone updating payroll. Somethings's wrong!

However, when this feature isn't functioning as expected, you can follow this link to update your product to the latest release, and also download the latest payroll tax table. I do as well. Normally i will get the update in the mail with license number etc. This year I have received nothing for the new 2024 update.

Same here. From what I have read there should be an update available when you open quick books (desktop) however that is not the case for me. It just gave me a notice that my tax table is out of date when I tried to do payroll today.
I'm in the same boat. Good to know we're not alone in our frustration. Guess I'm going to have to phone them. I've called help line before and they are pretty good and knowledegable.
Seems that we are. I will have to do the same I suppose. I have called as well and you are right.
Strange though, as I used to get an email every year, and it had my lic. number and a few other things with a link for the download. Maybe they have changed things. Good Luck
The last time I had a problem and started a chat, it was a scam, and tons of things were downloaded to my computer without my knowledge
