When I run a Project Report and then click "View Timesheets" it gives a great overview of the employee information that I need. However, when I click "Open as PDF" to be able to send this report to others, some of the data is missing - specifically the Running Total column. It is an important column to have, so I don't understand why it wouldn't show in the PDF version of the report as well. Can someone assist me with this?
Thanks for utilizing the Community space, nicolewolf.
I'd be glad to share a method to obtain the data needed when viewing employee's timesheets.
Yes. that is true. Some data are missing when selecting " Open as PDF ". Since in this view, the software is unable to honor the filters applied to the report.
There are two ways to get the information you need. You can either select Download Timesheets in CSV file format or click Print Reports. This displays the same data as what appears on the report with all the filters applied to it. For more detailed information, you can visit this article: Run a project report in QuickBooks Time.
Aside from the project reports, I've included this helpful material that lists all the reports available in QuickBooks Time: QuickBooks Time reports.
I'm more than happy to help out again if you need to do other tasks for your employees or running reports. Take care always and stay safe!
I did try the option of downloading to csv and also printing, but the column options are not the same as when I just view the report after clicking "View Timesheets". For example, in the csv file the Running Total column is not there - which is back to the original issue, since that column is very important and does show up in the View Timesheets screen. The Print Report option is only showing pie charts with totals, no columns or itemized details. I also tried printing the report from the View Timesheets screen, but it will only print the timesheets that have actually loaded in that current window (which is only a small portion of the employees).
