Hi montessoribrantf,

Thanks for joining us! Importing your data is a great way to save time while keeping your books up-to-date. I'll be happy to share how it's done in QuickBooks Online smoothly and efficiently.

QuickBooks Online enables you to import data in your books such as:

  • Customers
  • Suppliers
  • Products and services
  • Bank data
  • Chart of accounts
  • Invoices
  • Bills
  • Journal entries

To learn how to import each of these, here are some useful articles.

Feel free to also visit our Apps menu to explore any third-party apps that could assist you in migrating more information if needed.

I hope this helps! You're always welcome to stop by if you have more questions.

Open a QBO account

https://quickbooks.grsm.io/Canada

then you may have 2 options:

1. Utilize an importer tool

https://transactionpro.grsm.io/qbo

2. Purchase a 3rd party conversion service.

Check our profile name and send your business email address in a private message to us.

I also have this question. I have 4000+ line entries of journal transactions to import into QBO that were downloaded from Wave.
They are all types of transactions, not just invoices or bill payments but the actual journal entries.

I tried the import tool recommended above and A) it does not provide enough fields to transfer the data completely and B) it is limited to 50 transactions or 200 total and so is not adequate for my needs.

This is my second try at using QBO and I'd like to stick with it but am going to need my historical data. There has got to be an import for the journal entries. It's madness that you do not have this built in.

@keco86

A. What kind of field do you need?

B. Did you use the trial version or the paid version?
