This new update is not working well for us it's slow it's glitchi it doesn't let us provide credits to are customers why change something that dosent work properly? I'd like the old version back!!

I also hate this new update I’m lost and can’t filter how I like it . I hate hate hate this and want the old version back. Seriously considering trying another app for my business

Love the new update on the iPhone app!! I can finally move items around on invoices and estimates and add in subtotals! Also the emailing of estimates/invoices is more streamline with being able to cc and adding recipients is easier.

This new update is beyond frustrating and confusing I will be switching to something els more user friendly wish I could just have it the way it was been using the old version for over 5 years trouble free

Unfortunately, it looks like they aren't going back. This new update is taking up a lot of my valuable time that I used to spend with my customers. We use the app with multiple users, and if two users process a invoice at the same time, it doesn't move to the next invoice. It will  show you that there is an existing invoice, and if you hit back, it will just delete it. A workaround is to save it under the same invoice and change the number afterwards. Another loophole to apply a credit product to your customers is to use your keyboard on a different app, copy and paste the (-), then go back into the app and paste it. What it seems is that they haven't ported the old version keyboard to do this app and creates more time wasted.

The new update is the worst. Share via doesn’t work or if it does it pulls up a website tab, instead of just letting me download.

Adding a customer from the invoice page leaves huge gaps in information and detail

 

the invoices look ugly 

 

honestly it’s a mess, please return it to normal.

Wouldn’t it be very convenient to give the users the old version if they wished to used it.. the New update needs more work before it even was given to users it’s very disappointing after I moved all my work from Freshbooks and told everyone how Quickbooks was so much better but at this point there pretty much the same

 I’m trying to switch back to the old interface.

There is a way to do it, but I think you need to phone them. The new interface is not showing all of my invoices and it is very complicated. I really don’t like it. It’s causing me to waste valuable time.

I downloaded Wave and giving them a try. The new update here is terrible and not showing the sum of all my previous paid invoices. I can’t see my year to date or anything like that . I’m soooo disappointed and will most likely be canceling and switching to wave .

The mobile app no longer will include the account name on invoices.  This update has created so many headaches for us.  
also the app takes forever to load new information and is no longer a value to our company.  The idea of using your platform was to simplify our business but has now generated a lot more work for us.

I agree. We are beyond disappointed with this update. They literally move 10 years back. We are actively searching for a different platform now.

This new update is garbage! Like as if running a company wasn’t hard enough that QB had to throw a curve ball on us company owners. Some of us company owners do all the other work for more than twelve hours a day and would just like to come home to something simple when it comes to sending an invoice etc. I’ve also been trying to send invoices off my app since the update and it keeps glitching out and won’t let me tap anything. Please change it back or you will be losing customers!

I second that. And it doesn't seem like anyone is actually reading this comments they just did another update and now I can't even view the old invoices only see the invoice number and total. They finally added the - symbols making one set easier but why does it auto flat rate every time I add a product like the only tool I need is quantity. Like I said it before and I'll say it again give us the old app back!!!

Since the update, all bank transactions are showing up as money received so I can't categorize expenses or money out.  Also, the cash flow history shows an incorrect negative balance and the Sales tab on the dashboard only displays by month, not by day or week.  For example, when viewing sales this month, one dot appears for "Nov" instead of 30 dots for each day of the month.  I've tried using Safari on a MacBook Air, Chrome on the same machine and Chrome on a Windows 11 PC.  The errors are consistent on both machines and both browsers.

Please fix this.

Hi BigDaddyKev, thanks for jumping into the thread. Let’s get your expenses showing correctly and clear up the Cash flow and Sales card questions.

 

I know moving to the updated QuickBooks Online (QBO) layout might feel a bit challenging at first. This new interface is now the standard for QBO, and while it looks different, your data, core workflows, and features are still there, organized to streamline day-to-day tasks.

 

To start, please confirm on your bank’s website or statement which transactions are truly money out. Then we can manually upload the incorrect bank transactions using a CSV file to keep your records accurate.  

 

Here's how:  

 

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and proceed to the Bank transaction page.
  2. Click on the Link account drop-down menu.
  3. Select Upload file.
  4. Choose the correct QuickBooks account where you want to add the transactions.
  5. Drag or attach the file you downloaded from your computer.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen.

 

Once done, exclude the transactions that were previously downloaded as money received to avoid duplicates.  

 

Please note that this is a temporary fix. To resolve this properly, we recommend contacting our live support team. They can investigate this further and gather more information and guide you through the next steps.  

 

Regarding your Cash flow, the widget’s information depends on the transactions recorded from your bank. If it shows a negative balance, it’s likely due to how your bank transactions are categorized. Once your transactions are corrected and categorized properly, the Cash flow data will update.  

 

Also, the Sales card on the Business overview dashboard now shows monthly totals only; this is working as designed after the update and can’t be changed to day or week. 

 

To see sales by day or week, you can utilize the following reports, which can display columns by days or weeks:  

 

  • Profit and Loss with columns set to Days or Weeks (for daily/weekly totals of sales income)
  • Sales by Product/Service Detail
  • Sales by Customer Detail

The new search is slow and buggy. It constantly clears what's in the search box when you click back into it not to mention it takes a lot longer now for results to pop up. Sometimes it'll glitch and show the last thing you searched instead of what's written in it which is really annoying.

 

The left nav bar also seems a bit hard to navigate as lots of things have seemed to move around making it more difficult to find things you might be looking for. If it ain't broke don't "fix" it.
