For a growing business like Menatwork, maximizing efficiency while minimizing complexity is crucial to continued growth. “The benefit with QuickBooks and its API and the integrations it offers has allowed us to have a very lean accounting or administrative function in the company,” notes Maxwell. “QuickBooks and its integrations allowed us to decentralize our admin work. We no longer need a big back office—the field team logs data on the fly, so everyone has up-to-date info,” Maxwell explains. 

Rather than relying on a handful of backoffice employees, Menatwork encourages the entire team to participate in the accounting process in real time— empowering them by providing the tools they need to work smarter, not harder. “We’ve decentralized the accounting requirements of our team by having everyone in the company contribute to it. Getting to use tools that are available on our team’s applications or phones allows them to do the data entry that we need to have up-to-date records,” Maxwell explains. This gives the Menatwork team clearer visibility into the company’s financial health and saves time on a broader scale.

Maxwell emphasizes, “My general instinct is that with a lot of the flexible applications in general not being stubborn about being siloed, or cooperating with other tools, has changed the ecosystem for how you build your tech stack.” For Menatwork, this flexibility means that business operations can run more efficiently with fewer unnecessary costs.
