Good day, turf7,

Let me help you out with this query.

You'll need to turn on the auto-recall transactions feature in QuickBooks in order for your transactions to be recalled.
Here's how:

  1. Click on Edit.
  2. Select on Preferences.
  3. Put a check mark on Automatically remember account or transaction information.
  4. Select on Automatically recall last transaction for this name.

I've attached a screenshot for you to be guided through the steps.

If the issue still persists, we can try to verify and rebuild your data in QuickBooks. This will help you fix a data integrity issues. Repairing QuickBooks will be a good idea too, this can fix program-related issues.

If none of these steps works on your end, I'd suggest giving us a call so our specialists can dig down on this and see what's causing the issue. Please refer to this link on how to reach them https://community.intuit.com/articles/1501563
