Thanks for reaching out here in the Community space, Williams. We'll help you show the balance inside the purchase order linked to a bill in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
You'll want to ensure you added the purchase order to the bill for the amount or balance to show in your purchase order. We recommend double-checking the transaction inside the company file. We'll outline the steps to get you going:
- Access your QuickBooks Online company.
- On the left navigational bar, click the Expenses tab.
- Locate the bill or purchase order and then access it.
- Check if there's a purchase order or bill linked inside the transaction. You'll see 1 linked Bill or 1 linked Purchase order below the amount section.
- Once done click the Save button.
If the balance remains zero, you can perform basic browser troubleshooting by accessing your company using a private window. A browser can collect temporary internet files to help you improve your browsing experience. However, too many of them can cause changes to how the program works. To access your account in an incognito or private browser, use these shortcut keys:
- Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
- Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
- Safari: Command+Shift+N
Once you're in, access the purchase order or bill and see if any amount reflects inside it. If it shows the amount, we recommend clearing your browser's cache. Refer to this article for more details: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.
