pop up alerts

Hi there, 

I can see how having tips and reminders in the form of a pop-up would be really helpful for your business. I know how many tasks a small business owner has to handle, and this would take just one more thing off your worry list. 

At this time, this feature doesn't exist in QuickBooks. I think it would be a really great idea, and I'd be happy to pass along your feedback about it to our product development team for review. We're always looking for new ways to improve the product and make your life easier. 

In the meantime, I would recommend creating transactions under the customer’s profile for you to see the displayed notes.

I'm sure other Community members will chime in with their thoughts and ideas about this as well.

Thanks yes I am using notes currently but a sales person who's working on the fly isn't going to check those.  Yes if you can pass it along as a suggestion that would be appreciated.

This (pop up alerts) is really needed.  Any update on whether or not Intuit is pursuing this?

I have been wanting the same thing with the pop up messages for the longest time. Being a small business, it's hard to always have your sticky notes plastered to your screen for all your customers different wants and needs. It would be very helpful as mentioned when you click on a customer or enter in an item number a message that you create could pop up. In my case, I have to have notes that say "prepaid before shipping out" because the customer may not be good at paying on time. It would be a great thing to add to Quckbooks!

How about an alert when a certain payment is received?

For example: i have a sub that only gets paid when we receive payment from a certain client.

I need to set an alert when that client pays us, so i remember to pay sub.

As mentioned on this thread, this feature is not available in our product. Feel free to submit your feedback directly to our product development team using the steps shared on this thread. Your comments are crucial in driving innovation to offer the best QuickBooks experience we can.

At this moment, the best way to keep track of which invoices have been paid is by using the invoice Status column on the Invoices tab in QuickBooks Online's Sales section. If you have Payments set up, the invoice status will automatically change to Paid once the payment is received.

Agreed. Popup alerts on certain stock items would be incredibly useful and a very flexible addition. There could be an additional 'alert' field against each items that if populated displays popup when it is added to an invoice.

I would also like alerts to pop up, for example service reminders to contact customers that were here 6 months ago, to book them in again

I have submitted feedback online through our QB program. I am actually quite surprised this feature hasn't been developed yet as I'm sure the demand is high and pop-up notifications would greatly increase the value of this program. I encourage everyone to submit feedback through your QB program as well (Help>Send Feedback Online) and get your voices heard!

I Second the option of pop up alerts.  very help full when doing orders for customers with special pricing or quotes.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ADD THIS POP UP FEATURE!!!!!!!!

I would like the pop ups too .. but not holding my breath as I have seen many problems reported that years later are still a problem.

In the mean time I noticed that if there is one note (or if multiple the pinned one) shows up in the top right of the window. not as noticable as a popup but 1/2 way there

I've suggested this using the Help-Feedback.  I'm not holding my breath as users have been requesting this feature for YEARS.  We'll see. 

As suggested by a Quickbooks team member to send suggestions through the Help>Feedback feature on Quickbooks, I actually posted the link to this discussion with hopes that by seeing this convo it would show that there are many people who could utilize this feature. Hopefully something comes out of it🤞🏻

I agree.  Pop up notes would be helpful.  Using the customer notes, you can only pin one at a time, therefore just having to make one big continuous note to be able to view on the side panel when entering invoices.  I use this mainly for special customer pricing.

Yes - Pop-up alerts both customers and vendor would be great.    This should be on the top of their (engineer's) list of things to do. :)

Any update on this? Baffling how many QB employees can respond and suggest using the feedback route but they employ 2 developers to create these things.
