If you haven't yet, I recommend contacting American Express (Amex) to check if there are any ongoing matters, such as system updates or policy changes, that might impact account connections with QuickBooks.
Next, if you've recently changed your bank's password or credentials on their website, you also need to update QuickBooks, as it could cause connection issues. You can follow the steps below to do so.
If none of these troubleshooting steps apply, I suggest disconnecting and then reconnecting your bank account in QuickBooks. Before doing so, review and categorize any remaining transactions in the For Review tab to avoid duplicate transactions when you reconnect your account.
