Amazon Business

Hi guys,

I've linked Amazon Business with my QB Online account.

So, if I categorize a transaction through my checking, for example, if I set a $200 transaction as a Parts & Materials COGS, it will go into my P&L as a COGS.

However, the problem is, as soon as I match that transaction with the one in the App Transactions section for Amazon Business, it takes it out of the COGS Expense account and my P&L is now inaccurate.

Does anyone know why this is and/or how I can fix it?

Hello there, BadCo55.

Let's ensure that we have setup the COGS item correctly. Let me guide you with these steps:

  1. From the Accounting tab, select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the COGS account..
  3. Review the Account Type and Detail Type.
  4. Hit Save and Close.

You can refer to this article for more insights: Understand Inventory Assets and COGS tracking.
