Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is well in this time! We have made some changes in our accounting and are looking to archive everything in our current Quickbooks account. Is there a way to do this? Please let me know! Thank you.
Hi there, @KSW2020.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. To secure your file, we can back up the data with QuickBooks Online. Though, QuickBooks Online automatically backs your data up with the same level of security used by banks and financial institutions. QuickBooks saving data on a flash drive, I suggest to look for a 3rd party app in QuickBooks to back up your data before deleting the current account.
You can check out this article for the app that will fit your needs in back up the files: QuickBooks Apps.
Also, you can check out this link the list you can move in QuickBooks: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online.
Please let me know if you need further assistant with moving your data in QuickBooks. I'm just a post away. Have a great day!
As additional option, you may migrate data to QB Desktop file and/or export the data out to XLS by using a 3rd party exporter tool.

I have sold my business and would like to archive my QBSE history. How do I go about that. I do not have QB Online only QBSE.
Thank you in advance for the help or suggestions.

Thanks for joining in the conversation, @LC591.
In QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), archiving history isn't available. We can consider deleting your data instead as a workaround.
I'd recommend exporting your data first and saving it in case you'll need the data for future reference.
Now you can start by disconnecting your bank or credit card connected. After which, let's go ahead and delete data from the connected accounts:
To delete entries imported from a CSV file:
If you've manually entered transactions in the Transactions tab and Mileage you'll have to delete or exclude them manually one at a time since we're unable to automatically or bulk delete the data on file.
Should you need to accomplish tasks in QBSE, please don't hesitate to visit this link and browse through QBSE-related articles: QuickBooks Self-Employed Help Articles.
Always know that you can post again here in the Community if you have any other concerns with regard to managing your company data in QBSE.
Another option, purchase a 3rd party service to convert your data to QB Online. Then you can convert it to a QB Desktop file as archive. You can open the file on the trial version for QB Desktop.
