Can I have another user name with full access role to use for day to day activity?

Hi,

I'm using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2022

I set up a new company file with the admin user name.

 

Can I have another user name with full access role to use for day to day activity?

 

I'm trying to setup in a new company file a user name for myself to be used for day to day activity (as I have in other files that I set up in the past) but when it is asking for an email address it tells me that this email address is already linked to another user, this is something that i did not have an issue with in the past

 

How can I go around it?

 

I would need to have full access role assigned under the new user

It's great to see a new face here in the Community! Let me share some insight into having another full access role with another username. 

 

To clarify, are the adding the new user to your the Intuit account or the actual company file? A screenshot could help in this case to help us determine why the system is asking for an email address. 

 

As for having the user for full access as well, you can do this in QuickBooks Desktop. Here's a visual that may help, but be sure to choose Full:

Hi,

 

Thanks for you assistance, but it does not help with what I need, let me clarify

 

I have an intuit account, under which I created a new company file as the Admin

 

However, for day to day transactions I prefer to be logged in as a user with my name on it, not the Admin account, and usually I would just create a user with my name and assign full access as the role.

 

but now, when I'm trying to do the same, it is asking for a email address for this new user, and when I'm giving the same email address that I'm using and registered as the admin user, I'm getting an message that this email is already in use, and therefore I cant create the new user with the same email

 

Please let me know how to go around this
