One QBO account is for one company file. You can use QB Desktop to manage multi company files.

Can I have multiple companies under one QuickBooks Online Advanced account

Hi there, MarshaClark.

Let me share information regarding managing multiple companies under one QuickBooks Online Advances account.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) allows you to create multiple companies under one account. However, a separate paid subscription for each of the companies added is needed, whereas you can access them all using the same login credentials. This feature allows you to change companies faster and more effectively, simplifying your administration process.

Furthermore, if you want to add a new company, kindly go to our QBO pricing page and choose the subscription you'd like to have.

You’ll then see one of two sign-in pages:

    • If you have recently logged in to QuickBooks, you will see a page that asks you to confirm the account you want to sign in. If it is the account you want to manage the new company with, choose "Yesthat's correct"

    • If you haven’t logged in recently,  you’ll see a page that requests you to make an Intuit account to buy QuickBooks. Go to the bottom and look for the small text that says Adding a company to an existing account?” Select Sign in next to this. When asked, enter the same ID and password you already use for QuickBooks. Or get help if you can’t remember your user ID or password.

To start with your new company, make sure that you enter all the required information.

I suggest reading this article to learn more about managing multiple companies in QBO: Create or add another company file to QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have additional inquiries on managing accounts in QBO. I'll be sure to get back to them as soon as possible. Have a great day ahead, MarshaClark.
