Can I logoff other users as the Administrator?

Hey, Courtenay.

If you are logged in as the Admin, you can close QuickBooks for another user. All you have to do is follow these steps:

  • Click Company from the top menu
  • Select Chat with a Coworker from the drop-down
  • From the Actions drop-down, select Close Company File for Users.
  • Select the user whose QuickBooks you want to close.
  • Select Close Company File.
  • In the Confirmation window, select Yes.

If for any reason that doesn't work you can always try restarting your QuickBooks Database Server Manager. Here's how:

  • Open QuickBooks on the server computer.
  • From the File menu, choose Open or Restore Company.
  • Select Open a company file then Next.
  • Find your company file and select it.
  • Select the Open file in multi-user mode check box, then click Open.
  • Log in to the company file with your normal user name and password.
  • Choose File > Close Company/Log off to close the company file on the server.

This will logoff all users. If you have any questions let me know. I'm only a comment away
