Buy nowCan I try a free trial of QBO without entering my credit card info?
Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, sileebo.
I can certainly understand how an ability to start a free trial without entering billing information could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.
Currently, the Free 30-day trial for QuickBooks requires billing details to be entered after clicking Free 30-day trial, choosing a plan, and checking out. You'll be prompted to enter this info after choosing a company.
You'll also need to agree to the Terms of Service and acknowledge Intuit's Privacy Statement before initiating a Free 30-day trial subscription by clicking your Subscribe button.
As a workaround, you can explore QuickBooks with our test drive accounts. These sample company demos are a great way to dive in and experiment with features and options you may not feel comfortable trying in your own account. You can feel free to explore and experiment since the demo system doesn't save any of your changes.
Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Monday!
I see. Let me ask you this... I already have an account with QBO from using its free 30 day trial from 2 years ago. I still have access to this QBO.I have 2 questions...
1. How do I erase all my previous financial data on it like invoicing, payments, etc?
2. On this same QBO I don't see a way to switch between accountant mode and business mode. How can I switch between the two?
I'll be more than happy to provide detailed answers to your questions, @sileebo. Ensuring you can transition smoothly to a new QBO free trial.
Regarding your initial question about deleting your previous financial data, please note that there are a few factors to consider based on how long you've been using QuickBooks. Since you mentioned that your free trial ended two years ago, that trial has expired, and the data from that account should have been automatically deleted by now unless you've renewed your plan.
However, if you still have access to that QBO trial version and the data within the program is still available, I suggest contacting our Live Support Team. They'll be able to identify the causes happening in your trial account and will help you delete all financial data with their appropriate tools and resources.
Meanwhile, you can follow these steps in starting a new QBO free trial:
For more information about starting over in QBO, here's a resource you can refer to: Erase your data and start fresh in QBO.
Regarding your second question, I'd be glad to guide you in switching between accountant and business mode within QBO:
Moreover, the QuickBooks team prepared this helpful guide that you can check to learn more about the QBO settings and enable the features that need to be turned on for your company: Edit company settings in QBO.
