Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, aroffeyCISC.

The option to create a report that shows your QuickBooks ID is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. However, you can utilize the Other field in your Customer's Profile as a workaround. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales tab and select Customers.
  2. Click the name of your customer.
  3. Select the Edit button.
  4. Enter your QuickBooks ID in the Other field.
  5. Click Save.

Then, pull up the Customer Contact List report and customize  it to display the QuickBooks ID. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Reports tab.
  2. In the search field, enter the Customer Contact List.
  3. Click the small the Gear icon, and then choose Show More.
  4. Make sure that the Other box is mark checked.
  5. Click Run report.

The QuickBooks ID will now display on your Customer Contact List.

I've added an article on how to customize your report in QBO for your guide: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online

In the Quickbooks Online Customer Edit Form, the Customer's Quickbooks ID is not visible anywhere, neither is the "[Other] field you have referred to in your reply. I understand the logic of recording the ID number in a different field. We can use a Custom Field for it, but at the moment, each Customer's ID isn't visible anywhere that I can see. If it was displayed either somewhere on the Customer Details Edit Form or in the Customer Header, this would be straightforward to resolve.

Hello aroffeyCISC,

Yes, adding the custom fields would be another alternative. It will also reflect on the invoices. You just need to enter the QuickBooks ID manually when creating the invoices.

After that, you can follow the customization steps provided by GlinetteC. Just add column for the custom field name.

If necessary, you can export the report to Excel to further customize it.

We'll be right here if you have additional questions.

I apologize if I am not being clear.

Where can I find a Customer's Quickbooks ID displayed within the current User Interface?

Hello there, @aroffeyCISC.

At this time, there's not a field in the Customer Profile that shows the Customer ID in QuickBooks Online. I'm going to submit feedback to our Product Development Team about bringing in a feature that will show this information. You can visit our Blog to see all the new updates coming to our Products, as well as seeing what's coming in the future.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. I'm just a Reply away. Have a nice day!

Thank you again. My suggestion would be for it go beside the Customer's name at the top of Customer Detail screen per the attached marked up screenshot.

If it is there, why are we not able to download it. That makes no sense at all. We are doing a migration of our active customer base from one QBO entity to another and our service providers require the QB ID number to perform the transition as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Thank you.
