Capital One I can't activate feed

I'm trying to set up the connection with a new Capital One account. I access my full Quickbooks file remotely. Whenever the remote computer tries to make the connection, it freezes and then I have to contact the company running the server to reconnect. I've tried all the methods but every time it freezes.

Capital One I can't activate feed

Which QB Desktop year version do you run?

Consider to install the trial license for it, create a backup of your company file and restore it locally on your machine. Did you encounter the same problem running the bank feeds?

Capital One I can't activate feed

Hello there, @KCStone.

I’ve got some troubleshooting steps to help you sort out your concern with connecting your Capital One account to QuickBooks Desktop.

Beforehand, I’d like to ask if you have encountered any errors when connecting your account? Any additional information will get us closer to a resolution.

To get around this issue, you can utilize the Verify and Rebuild Data tool. This way, we'll be able to identify and resolve the most commonly known data issues within your company file.

Before proceeding, let’s ensure we always have our QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release to keep your software up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes. Then, create a backup company file to secure your data if you ever run into problems.

Follow these steps on how to verify data:

  1. Choose Window, then Close All.
  2. Go to the File menu, and then click Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.
  4. Follow the onscreen instruction to back up your data.
  5. When the tool finishes, select OK.
  6. Navigate to the File menu, then click Utilities.
  7. Click Verify Data, then select Rebuild Now once QuickBooks finds an issue with your company file.

I'd also suggest reaching out to the Capital One Support team. There's a possibility that they're having system maintenance. Thus, you're unable to connect your account.

Once everything is set, you can start downloading your transactions again and ensure all your entries are correctly entered into your register. Please feel free to use the following great resources as a guide:
