I am having trouble with phone support teams at both Quicken and QuickBooks, so hopefully someone here can provide what I presume will be a simple (although multi step) process to convert/transfer a file from Quicken Deluxe 2015 to QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2018. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you.
Jim
I've got information to help you convert Quicken files to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), jkretsch.
When transferring your data to QBDT, the available version of the supported converter tool for Quicken Deluxe 2015 is unavailable. However, you can contact Quicken support and seek guidance to help export your file into an IIF or CSV file.
Since QuickBooks Desktop requires certain file formats to support data import to the program, you can check out this reference to know specific ways to transfer Quicken information to QuickBooks: Import and export data in QuickBooks Desktop.
In case you want to upgrade your QBDT and Quicken company files, you can update them to the latest compatible version.

Thank you for your response and information. Both Quicken and QuickBook support have stated emphatically that they cannot be of assistance because the other support team has the information needed. I find that an incredible response.
I presumed (but not sure) the model years of my two programs (Quicken Deluxe) and QB Desktop Pro needed to be the same year. Here that would likely mean updating Quicken Deluxe to 2018, which I have no problem doing. Before I do that though, I would like to know if in so doing, I would then be able to convert my Quicken file to QB. No one at either support group has any clue.
Any further assistance is appreciated.

Thanks for getting back with the Community, jkretsch.
There's two methods to move your data from Quicken to QuickBooks. One of these processes is using the Conversion Utility.
Here's how:
For more details about the Conversion Utility, press F1 to access your Help window in QuickBooks, then type "convert from Quicken".
You only need to use the Quicken Converter to move from a Quicken version that isn't an identical year to your QuickBooks version. Before using the tool, you'll want to confirm you don't have another version of it installed. In the event another version's installed, be sure to uninstall it from your computer and download the appropriate one.
When you're ready, download a version of the converter tool that matches your year of QuickBooks. You'll want to be aware that Intuit currently only offers the Quicken Converter for years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
If you need to upgrade your version of QuickBooks, you can do so any time.
When you're prepared to install the Quicken Converter and move your data, you can refer to our Convert Quicken data article.
Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have an awesome Monday!
