Customer Discount

Hello All,

I am trying to apply a yearly pourcentage discount for a customer, that varies depending upon the amount of sales. For this year, the total sales would guaranty a 4% discount.

How do I apply the discount on a yearly report? Is that possible?

It can not be applied throughout the year because it would vary depending on the sale volumes.

I am looking forward to finding an answer.

Thank you kindly,

Gabrielle.

How does the discount get passed on to the customer?  The answer to that will dictate how to record it in QB.

Customer Discount

Hi Gabrielle.

There's  few things to consider if you want discounts to appear in reports.

First, discounts must be applied to the transaction itself to show up in reports. Once applied, they appear in the Sales by Item Detail report, which reflects item-level sales and discounts. If discounts are not applied, they won’t be included in any sales or item reports.

If you only want the discount to appear in a single report (without changing the underlying transactions), export the report to Excel and add the discount there manually.
