Does anyone else find it odd that they are discontinuing the app support due to "lack of use"? I use the app almost exclusively on my phone to do billing, payments etc?

I just got a notice that the apps won't be supported after april 20th, '21. I find the app on my mac to be easier and faster than using the browser and opening multiple windows. I think this is appalling, especially after the last update killed my ability to open more than one tab inside the app. Which has happened more than twice with the multiple updates over the last 4 yrs. I think that if enough complaints come in, they will see that there is plenty of use of the apps to continue supporting those apps. Or am I just alone on this??

Hi @jbb70.

We're sorry to know that the discontinuation of the QuickBooks app affects your business. I understand that using the app can make your work easier and faster, especially when opening multiple windows. We stop supporting these apps to invest in other functionality that matters to you.

Please know that you can still use the QuickBooks app after April 20th. However, you won't receive software updates and bug fixes to the app. Moving forward, I suggest using a web browser when processing transactions in your QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You might want to read this latest QuickBooks Online Mac and Windows Desktop App update for more details.

Please touch base with me here for all of your QuickBooks needs, I'm always happy to help. Thanks for dropping by.

Louder for the people in the back!  I use the app exclusively as well.  Super frustrating that they are discontinuing it.  I am not a fan of using the web browsers.  I assume that the mobile app on phones will still be available?  The mobile app is the only reason that I use QBO.

@LaurenBurgess

The news was for the app installing on MacOS and Windows, not the mobile app running on Android and iOS.
