When you mentioned downgrading from Pro, could you please confirm if you are referring to the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Pro version? This distinction is crucial because the downgrading options and processes differ between QBDT and other versions, such as QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

In the meantime, if you meant switching from QBDT Pro to QBO Simple Start, it's important to note that you'll need to subscribe to a new QBO Simple Start plan.

However, if you're referring to downgrading from a higher version of QBO to QBO Simple Start, please know that any discounts on your current plan will be removed. You'll also need to turn off some key features in your existing subscription.

 

Furthermore, QBO Simple Start doesn’t support multicurrency. If you currently have this feature enabled, you won't be able to switch to QBO Simple Start.

I downgraded my subscription from Plus to Simple Start well in advance of the renewal period but Quickbooks decided to charge me for Plus anyway and I am not happy. Who can I speak to about this, why did it occur and how soon before someone gets back to me?
