I have received two emails regarding the new Federal Compliance regarding need to update QBDT payroll information to avoid direct deposit being interrupted. The email states that on the home page or in the payroll center there is a banner to click on to go in and update missing information and if it is not done by July 31, 2021 there will be an interruption in direct deposit use. I have no such banner showing and after the first email I reached out to customer service and was told if I don't see the banner I should be good. Then I got a second email this week and reached out to customer support via chat who tells me that they can see the banner. They advised me to run a payroll update, close the file and reopen. I did this and still no banner. They told me then that there is an ongoing issue with the banner not showing inside the payroll center and if I would bear with them they would check on that. Over an hour later I have not heard back from them. Has anyone had this issue? I really don't need my direct deposit shutting down but I cannot do anything if I can't get in to fix it.
The chat operator came back and told me they had added my account to the back office engineering team to fix my issue of not seeing a banner to update payroll information. I will apparently get a direct email letting me know when it is fixed. Not sure how this plays out if it is past the July 31 due date....
