Free desktop version for self employed CPA

I am a self employed CPA that has QB 2021 that I use for keeping my own books, and also go online to retrieve client documents that use QB online version. I also use QB Payments ($3 per payment received). I was recently told that self employed CPAs can get a free desktop version of QB for their own use, so before I upgrade to 2024 version how can I go about getting the free version? Thanks, [complete name removed]

Free desktop version for self employed CPA

Thanks for coming into this forum, cpa3917. I can share input to help you acquire a free desktop version for self-employed CPAs (Certified Public Accountants).

In QuickBooks Desktop, free trial versions for the latest updates are available for download into your local drive. You can check out this guide for detailed information: Download a trial of QuickBooks Desktop.

Since you're utilizing the QuickBooks Desktop 2021 version, you can reach out to our Customer Care Team to further verify your eligibility when downloading free versions for self-employed CPAs. They can also provide you with other options you want to avail, so you can keep going in managing your books.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Go to the Help menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us. Then, click Contact Us.
  2. Enter a brief description of your concern about the reactivation and select Continue.
  3. Sign in to your Intuit account, select Continue, and then Continue with my account.
  4. Enter the code you received in your email for verification and select Continue.
  5. Choose between Chat with us and Have us call you.

To ensure you get on hold to our support team on time, I've added our support hours so you can set an available time to reach them out.

Additionally, you can secure a backup copy of your company files so you can restore them anytime you need in the future.

In case you require detailed updates about your QBDT 2021 version, you can refer to this resource to learn more: QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy.

I'll always be around on this thread if there's anything else you require additional assistance with when managing your financials in QuickBooks. Just keep me posted in the comments below. Keep safe!
