I’ll guide you through the steps on how you can take a look at the interest payments or fees and charges under the Interest Expense, @kecat.
You can open your Income Tax Summary report from the Reports menu. This way, you can view the transactions under the interest expense. I’ll show you how:
- Go to the Reports menu, then navigate to Accountant & Taxes.
- Select Income Tax Summary.
- Double click the amount in the Tax Line (ex: interest expense).
- From there, you can customize the report with expenses or costs and the date range.
Another way to view the charges or costs under the interest expense is from the Lists menu. Just click on Chart of Accounts, then look for the account name (interest expense). Tap Search.
From the Account QuickReport, you’ll see the transactions by account that belong to the specific interest expense.
You can click this link to customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop. It includes articles about various series of reports as well as a short video that will walk you through the process of creating them.
I've added this article to help you create a memorized reports. This will save your report settings or customizations so you won't have to go through it again.
If you have further interest expense concerns, please reply to this thread. I’ll be glad to assist you. Have a fantastic week ahead!
