Hi, we are using QB self employed. Is it possible to migrate this into QB essential?

QBSE is a stand alone product and no migration path yey. Visit this link for your reference

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/product-preferences/switch-from-quickbooks-self-em...

Once you are ready to open a new QBO account, , make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to 6 months. If you purchase from the trial account, you have to pay the regular price.

Welcome to the QuickBooks family, @liz-jamila82.

I can share additional information about moving data from the Self-Employed (QBSE) version to QuickBooks Online.

The ability to export data directly from QBSE into another QuickBooks product is currently unavailable. However, you can keep a record of the work you did by downloading the Tax Details Report through the Reports section.

You also have the option to download your transactions directly from the Transactions tab into a CSV file and import them in QBO.

Here's how:

1.    Log into your account.
2.    Select Transactions from the left navigation bar.
3.    Customize the date range of your transactions.
4.    Click the Download icon at the right.
5.    Name and save the CSV file on your desktop.

To import data in QBO, follow the steps below:
1.    Log into your account.
2.    Select Banking from the left navigation and click Banking.
3.    Choose File Upload.
4.    Browse to the location of your saved CSV file from your desktop.
5.    Confirm mapping of column names for import. Perform the necessary mapping of transactions into the QBO Chart of Accounts.
6.    Hit Next, then Finish when you’re done.

Additionally, here's a helpful reference that you can check out about moving your QuickBooks Self-Employed: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online.

Please also take note that only cash posting transactions are transferred into QBO. I suggest you take a look at this additional article to learn more: QuickBooks Self-Employed: Import, export, and conversion limitations.

That should get you pointed in the right direction. Feel free to leave a comment if you need anything else. I’ll be here to help you out. Have a great one.
